Microsoft has pushed and rolled out the new version of Windows Genuine Advantage Validation Tool v1.7.69.2 since April 22, 2008 via Windows Update and Microsoft . Looking at the most recent version, this is 1.9.0040. The file is clean and ok. Im using XP Pro SP2.
